A Workshop in Honor and Memory of Markus Sebastian Gross

Travel Info

We recommend flying into Newark International Airport and then taking the Northeast Corridor Line of NJ Transit to Princeton Junction. You can then get to downtown Princeton by either taking the "Dinky" train to Princeton Station or by calling one of the many available taxi services. An alternative to Newark is to fly into Philadelphia International Airport and then rent a car to drive to Princeton. We do not recommend flying into JFK or LaGuardia airports.

Parking

Visitors must park in Lot 23 on the PU parking map (link to PU parking map, yellow circled number 23 just left of center), which is a short walk away from the Frick Chemistry Building. Here's a google walking map link.

Please arrive 15 minutes early to give yourself enough time to walk to Frick. If you don't wish to walk, Tiger Transit Shuttle #4 comes to Lot 23 every 15 minutes. Take the shuttle and disembark at the Lewis Library, which is about two blocks north of Frick on Washington Rd.

Accommodations

Many attendees stay at the Nassau Inn, which is located at Palmer Square in Downtown Princeton. The conference venue at Frick is within walking distance of the Nassau Inn. TigerTransit shuttles also circulate throughout campus

Although we don’t have any block rooms booked, there is also Hyatt Place and the Marriott, both by the Market Fair shopping mall, and the Residence Inn and Homewood Suites in Plainsboro. These hotels have shuttles available for transportation into campus; TigerTransit shuttles also make stops near these locations.

There is also the Peacock Inn within walking distance (~10-15 minutes) of Frick. However, it is considerably more expensive than the options listed above.

A full list of nearby hotels is provided here.
